SWAMPS may have been a short-lived St. John’s garage rock duo, but that doesn’t mean they weren’t one of the more exciting new projects to crop up this summer. Promptly following a five-song cassette release, SWAMPS played only three shows: a pool party, a bar gig, and a record store session.

With 1/2 of SWAMPS — vocalist/guitarist Mike Coffen — relocating from St. John’s to Montréal, the third performance by the twosome on September 14th at Fred’s Records in St. John’s will be their last for the foreseeable future. Luckily, the free 15 minute in-store gig was captured in full.
