ProtoShed is a hackerspace in St. John’s, Newfoundland who’s running theme is ‘imagine – make – share.’ Listen in as ProtoShed Secretary Jordan Elliott gives us the low-down on what it takes to run a hackerspace from the tip of Atlantis.
“I started spending summers and Christmas in St. John’s around 1990 … There were fewer bands doing original music then, although even at that time there was a knot of hardcore punky bands and other bands doing original music at all ages shows, playing the Peace-A-Chord, etc.”
Rumblin Thunder (prod. AKOGOLD) is the track for Newfoundland based rapper Moyst’s latest video. The track is a percussive exercise in polished hip-hop lyricism, and is suited with a two-minute visual trip courtesy of videographer Mike Simms.
