In part 2 of our #TBT collaboration, we dip into the Distortion archive once again for some unreleased tracks from the final 2012 recording session of St. John’s trio The Drunks Rule This Place.
As Distortion in St. John’s prepares the launch of their new web platform, we decided to team up up on a #TBT series to feature some exclusive selections from a decade long archive of live Distortion recordings.
We caught up with Curtis Kilfoy to talk about the 11 years of his long running St. John’s post-punk band Mopey, as well as their brand new single Minor League Dad / Just Noodles which comes with a read-along comic book.
Six happenings in St. John’s that you might have missed this week, or don’t want to miss this weekend:
A Cowabunga wedding with a honeymoon tour kickoff, local short film Flankers now available for full stream, local emcee MAK11 drops debut video and prepares for Random Sound, Trouble Bound Studio presents St. John’s first ever tattoo convention, mainstay rock venue Distortion turns 9, and Neon Satori prepare another family-friendly and free afternoon EDM party at Bannerman park.
