Shotgun Jimmie
Embodying the landscapes in Canada from his homes in the starry skies of the Yukon, the sprawling plains of the prairies, and the eclectic marshes of the Maritimes, Shotgun Jimmie has continuously redefined the national independent music scene since his days in Shotgun & Jaybird. His friendly demeanour and soulful wisdom have expressed new peaks on his latest record Field of Trampolines, where he celebrates the hard-touring lifestyle that has gained him so many friends and has cemented him as one of our most humble and dearest national treasures.
Scott Royle & the Nightshift Nurses
Born in Foxtrot, Newfoundland before spending some time on the mainland, St. John’s Scott Royle and his merry band of Nightshift Nurses will serve you some sweet licks from the same well of CanRock goodness untouched since the days of 90s Halifax. Royle is a young gun able to strike into geysers of lyrical ingenuity, and the Nightshift Nurses (Glen, Len and Noah) steer this ship to soaring new heights.
Zachary Lucky
With a six-string and smoky voice in tow, Saskatoon’s Zachary Lucky croons of heartbreak, longing and the beautiful prairie landscape he calls home. As a solo act or alongside accompanying string instrumentalists and a lapsteel guitarist, Zachary Lucky will make you nostalgic for a simple home life only found in your mildest dreams.
Fake Palms
Born in the bedroom tapes of Michael le Riche, Toronto-based Fake Palms have innovated the post-punk genre since their 2015 self-titled debut. Fusing heavy riffs, drilling percussions and catchy pop sensibilities, Fake Palms are a bottle rocket shaken to its extreme and waiting for you to unleash upon the universe.
