Canadian Supergroup Anyway Gang are Auctioning Off Their Album’s Test Press for Charity
Earlier this fall it was announced that Sam Roberts had come together with Chris Murphy of Sloan, Dave Monks of Tokyo Police Club and Menno Versteeg of Hollerado to form a Canadian supergroup called Anyway Gang. With a retro NES and arcade aesthetic, the Gang has shared a music video, album art, as well as dates for their debut LP release on November 29th, as well as their first live show on January 17th, 2020 at the Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto.
Now, just weeks away from their album drop, Anyway Gang have launched a week long eBay auction for a test pressing of the forthcoming album to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
With less than 24 hours remaining of the auction, over 50 bids have been placed thus far.
“As some of you may know, one of our friends in our Canadian Music Community, Adam ‘Bix’ Berger, is presently undergoing a bone marrow transplant,” Anyway Gang posted. “In his name, we are putting this exclusive record online for one week, at an auction you can find here, with every penny going directly to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, a vital charity doing super important work!”
““Obviously, if you win, we are trusting you to not put these songs online. As we said, it’s not out for another month after you receive it, so y’know, don’t be a dick.”
