Yung Dumb Brings the Party From Brooklyn for Pride Week in St. John’s
This Friday, July 14th, one of St. John’s premiere electronic events returns. With help from Brooklyn based DJ/promoter Adam Rhodes (Papi Juice) and a stacked line-up of local talent, Yung Dumb are making their 4th annual Pride Week event anything but ordinary.
Off the back of their most recent collaboration with Adelaide Oyster House, the promotion broaches on even newer territory. Having left behind their home 208 Water St. (formerly known as Factory, Velvet, Headquarters etc.) in 2017, Yung Dumb are taking their talents to the Johnson Geo Centre, a geological interpretation centre on the historic Signal Hill, and that’s a first.
“We have some of the regular crew which is myself, Bryan Oliver, Denver Drake and Potemtole. We have Remix86 making a little pride week return, and Shauna Gilpin is doing her first live set,” says Adam Harding of Yung Dumb, “The headliner is Adam Rhodes, co-founder of PAPI JUICE, which is one of the biggest queer/trans parties in Brooklyn. We’re all pretty excited.”
The line-up is stacked, but that isn’t all. In charge of the visuals is Neon Satori Productions, there will be food done by Adelaide Oyster House, live art and art sale by Fresh Prints and Justin Fong, and body painting by Firebird Face and Body Art.
It all gets underway at 10:30PM but for the eager, downtown St. John’s hotel The Luxus is hosting a cocktail party to kick of the evening in style.
While tickets may be purchased at the door for $20, there is a limited capacity so get your tickets here.
