Charles Bradley Cancels #HPX25 Appearance Following Cancer Diagnosis
The late-blooming and beloved 68 year old Gainesville Florida soul singer recently returned to spring and summer touring following a battle with stomach cancer in 2016. This initial diagnosed ailment saw extensive concert cancellations for Bradley including his booking at Halifax Pop Explosion last October.
After a warmly welcomed reception in his most recent outing for his first gigs in 2017, Bradley has broke the sad and unfortunate news that he will be undergoing treatment once again for a diagnosis of liver cancer. Bradley and Co. will subsequently be forced to cancel the remainder of his touring schedule from September to December.
This effected dates include his makeup spot at Halifax Pop Explosion 25 next month.
Charles Bradley has announced the cancellation of all upcoming tour dates due to illness.
As you may have known, Charles was diagnosed with stomach cancer last fall and, after undergoing treatment and beating it, he returned to the road this past spring. He began to feel run down during recent tour dates and learned that his cancer spread to his liver, though hasn’t returned to his stomach. He will be taking time off to focus on treatment and recovery.
“I love all of you out there that made my dreams come true. When I come back, I’ll come back strong, with God’s love. With God’s will, I’ll be back soon.” – Charles Bradley
